Rosebud #346
As Mama Palin dissed helping poor people (community organizing) and reading people their rights, the United States invaded Pakistan and killed a bunch of women and children. ("American Forces Attack Militants on Pakistan Soil.") OK, it was just an "incursion," says the New York Times—on to the border, to chase down some Taliban and Al Qaeda insurgents; so they say. But the timing is awful strange, and the clumsiness is awful dangerous—how about, like, getting permission? At least letting somebody know? Or how about not doing it at all? Now the bomb-holding Pakistanis are pissed, and fear rioting among civilian groups they count on to be orderly, in a country of rather widespread disorder. Ruh-roh. Mama Palin is a warmonger, a neo-con Blues Brother ("Iraq is a mission from God"), so assumedly she approves. Hold on to your hats, folks, this next couple of countdown months to the election are going to feel like the X2 rollercoaster at Six Flags.
