Rosebud #231
Sometimes journalists are really out of it. Last night during primary coverage on CNN, Wolf Blitzer and his talking head buddies got a big chuckle out of a measure on the Vermont ballot calling for the indictment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney on charges they have violated the Constitution. Oh, that's just loopy, lefty Vermont, they laughed.
To date, there are actually resolutions in 10 state legislatures calling for the impeachment of President Bush and/or Vice President Cheney, including in California, Illinois, Minnesota and Texas. One state has passed a resolution: yes, Vermont. (See www.impeachbush.tv/impeach/other_res.html.)
There is also a resolution in the House of Representatives, HR 333, brought by Rep. Dennis Kucinich, calling for the impeachment of Vice President Cheney on 3 criminal charges (see text of the charges below). 22 members of the House supported the resolution. It has been forwarded to the House Judiciary Committee.
The People's Impeachment Movement is real. (It even has its own wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movement_to_impeach_George_W._Bush.) Since the mainstream media has almost completely ignored it, you'll have to find out more about it on the Internet; just Google "Impeach Bush."

Article III: In his conduct while Vice President of the United States, Richard B. Cheney, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of Vice President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has openly threatened aggression against the Republic of Iran absent any real threat to the United States, and done so with the United States proven capability to carry out such threats, thus undermining the national security of the United States, to wit...
Wherefore Richard B. Cheney, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office. Mr. Speaker: This resolution is similar to a resolution which I introduced earlier this year and has the support of 22 of my colleagues here in the House of Representatives.
