The conclusion suggests that the group that launched the most devastating terror attack on the United States has been able to rebuild despite nearly six years of bombings, war and other tactics aimed at crippling it. [WELL, THAT SPEAKS WELL FOR THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, DOESN’T IT?]

A counterterrorism official [WHO] familiar with a five-page summary of the new government threat assessment [CAN WE SEE THIS? DID YOU?] called it a stark appraisal that will be discussed at the White House on Thursday [OH GREAT CAN’T WAIT FOR THAT] as part of a broader meeting on an upcoming National Intelligence Estimate.[DIRE PREDICTIONS EXPECTED, ESPECIALLY AS AMERICA CALLS FOR DICK CHENEY’S IMPEACHMENT AND KARL ROVE’S ASS IS IN A SLING]
