I'm sort of over Obama, as anyone who's been following these posts knows. I still want him to win, of course (I don't know if the country could survive four, maybe eight more years of the ravages of the neo-cons) but my high hopes died at the AIPAC speech, the flip-flopping on the war, and the predictable "tough talk" on the chimeric "war on terror" and Iran. Having said that, I'm still continually disgusted by the racism in some of the attacks against him. That happen like every day. And yes, this includes the new McCain campaign ad. It's racist. It is. Equating an accomplished black man with two airhead blonde starlets (Spears and Hilton) is stupid and racist. And it wouldn't be done to anybody else, not even Hillary Clinton. But what do you expect after John McCain bizarrely brought former nemesis and Fat Boy of Darkness Karl Rove into his camp?
